Membership fees for Dartmouth Karate Club

Our membership fees for the Dartmouth Karate Club are quite simple; Members only pay on the day for the training they attend, there are no monthly subscriptions, joining fees or subs.

Training Fees:

  • Adults £4 per session
  • Under 16’s £3 per session

Licence Fees

To train in Shotokan Karate, you do need to be licensed. The licence includes membership of the KUGB and insurance cover for the individual training. This is an annual licence and the costs range from £24 to £27 depending on your age & experience.

The licence can be applied for after you have decided after a couple of sessions and you wish to continue with your training. The licensing is provided by the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) and you can download a Licence Application as below.

Grading Fees

Gradings are only carried out when the student has been put forward and recommended by the Sensei and when he/she believes that the student is ready to be graded. The fee for grading does vary from club to club but typically costs approximately £7-10 for training with the Instructor and £7-10 for the grading itself.
